About Us

Alder Creek Farm is a small family run farm that is located less than an hour west of Canada's Capital.  Renfrew is one of the most beautiful sections of Eastern Ontario.  Our 100 acre farm has varied terrain and many creeks lined with alder trees, hence our farm's name! The foundation quarter horses that we have all have great bloodlines and are all registered with AQHA and most are also registered with the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association.

Our Horses

We no longer operate as a Quarter Horse breeding farm and have sold many of our great foundation horses to other quarter horse breeding facilities.   We have kept a few of our favourites.  You can see information on these horses on the Our Horses page.

We would now just like to focus on training the horses that we're keeping and do more trail riding and just have fun with them. We may still breed one of our remaining mares, so please continue to watch our website for updates!

HORSES FOR SALE: Whatever is currently listed for sale can be found through the For Sale page - it's always kept current.

STALLION: Our stallion, Push Down and Twist (Twister), was sold in 2006 to a large breeding operation in Manitoba. We have decided not to have our own stallion on the farm and we miss Twister terribly.
